Photography - The Beginning
Throughout Clare's life she has had an interest in taking photos & developing her passion for photography. Inspiration taken from the beautiful landscapes, wildlife & culture of South Africa where she grew up, then later the energetic & diverse bright lights of London, where she lived & worked. View Video
Clare has now settled to live in East Sussex, with her husband Marcus & their daughter Molly, not forgetting Kuba, the cheeky chocolate labrador! Enjoying the photographic opportunities that the 'Sunshine Coast' offers, with it's scenic blend & relaxed vibe.
Photography - The Developing Passion
Clare studied & obtained a Bachelor of Fine-Art Degree, majoring in Photography, from Rhodes University in South Africa; taught & inspired by the world famous photographer Obie Oberholzer. Following this she worked in London for several years in a creative role as a Studios Project Manager; installing themed sets across the world for a leading visitor attractions brand. Within her freetime she also photographed weddings & events, across many unqiue venues of London. This valuable experience instilled in her the importance of ensuring exceptional client service & product delivery is provided for every photography assignment & that expectations are not just met but exceeded.
She has since returned to her true passion of photography, working full time for herself as a freelance photographer since 2009, enjoying capturing weddings & events, as well as creative lifestyle, portrait, architectural & product photography. Clare has a keen personal passion for wildlife & fine art photography; when Clare's not taking photos she enjoy's painting, 'shabby chic' upholstery, baking, watching scary movies & singing, if only to herself!
