Donna & Wayne were married on Saturday 6th April with the ceremony taking place at St John the Evangelist Church, Hollington, St Leonards-on-Sea and Swallows Oast wedding reception; in Ticehurst, East Sussex. Donna along with her young son, Isaac and her mum spent a relaxed morning getting ready at the bridesmaid’s house; situated only a short walk from the church. Isaac looked very dapper in his 3 piece suit, with a cute pair of converse to top the outfit off! After the church ceremony the newlyweds in their vintage car, along with the guests made their way to the reception.
“We have received the photos and they are amazing thank you very much, we have had so many compliments on them and your work. So glad we chose you to capture our special day and you were part of it!” Donna & Wayne
Swallows Oast was originally built in the 1830’s and is a lovely rustic venue to have a wedding reception. The couple and their guests were prepared for a cold and wet day, as it had been for most of the time leading up to the wedding. However the weather was in fine form on the day and although there was a nip in the air, the sun came out, adding a welcome warmth! Guests were able to enjoy drinks in the courtyard area, whilst Donna & Wayne took a few minutes away from them for their couple shots in the secluded Swallows Trail woodland area. In the months leading up to the day, the Bride had been busy either sourcing or making the country style décor theming for the venue and table centres. These included a typewriter, flower vases, bunting, reception and jam jars; all in keeping with the style of Swallows Oast. Following speeches, guests were treated to not one but two wedding desserts; a sparkling tower of chocolate profiteroles and sponge cake of which the mother of the bride made. As if this wasn’t enough there was also a table of traditional style pick n mix sweets and a bike serving ice cream for guest to enjoy! The occasion, weather, venue and people made it a lovely day to photograph!
